Notes :
If you wish to download multiple software packages or different software revisions during one download, you can use a download basket. For further details, reference QA36336 - Using download baskets to download Rockwell Automation software products .
The instructions below require a serial number for downloading software and updates. To explore our free software offerings, please refer to IN2212 - Free Rockwell Software Download .

Visit the Product Compatibility and Download Center (PCDC) page and click Downloads by Serial Number .
Sign in or Create an Account , if prompted.
If you believe you have already signed up, but cannot remember your password, click Forgot Password? .
Once signed in, enter the Serial Number and select a Matching criteria, then click Validate .
Note : In case if Matching criteria is set as Company Name , at least 4 characters of the company name are required. If Company Name is shorter than 4 characters, please select a different criteria. In case if Matching criteria is set as Authorization No (number), please enter zeroes in front of the number until its total length equals 10 digits.
After clicking Validate , click Show All to show all products and options available for your license.
Select the desired version of software, then click on the gray, download arrow.

Note: If you entered a Toolkit serial number, then you need to first search for your product by entering the catalog number. Ensure pop-ups are allowed, otherwise clicking on the download symbol will do nothing.
Review the Rockwell Automation End User License Agreement (EULA) and click Accept and Download .
Your browser should automatically download the executable file. The example screens shows Google Chrome, but you may use any browser.
You should see the following window appear at the bottom of the screen in Chrome browser (or equivalent):
Note : Do not change name of that executable file, it's an integral part of download process.
Once the file has finished downloading, click the down arrow next to the file name to show the properties box, then click Open to run the Download Manager tool.
You can access Direct Download links on the same page by clicking the link shown below:
Note : When choosing a Direct Download link, ensure to click all the components to download. Also, be aware that web browsers have a direct download size limitation of 2 GB; therefore, do not attempt to download more than this per download. In the example below, you would need to download part 1 & part 2 in separate direct downloads to avoid losing data.

Note : Under the box with download links shown above, there is Click here to if you are using the third party desktop download manager , which can be used to get a direct link that will not ask the user for a serial number and product key combination even on a remote computer. It doesn’t require the user to log-in to RA website, either.
Utilizing the Download Manager, you can see the download location just above the progress bar. During download you are able to change the download location, just click Change next to the download path.
